International Women’s Day

Happy Women’s Day! For the past two years, our work in Kulhudhufushi has been an absolute privilege. Being on the ground and working alongside this incredible community has been one of our favourite parts of this journey. Today, on Women’s Day, we want to especially highlight the extraordinary women and young girls we’ve met through our project interventions.

From talented home-based workers and dedicated parents to passionate teachers, women’s groups, women-led businesses, health workers, and staff at the waste management corporation, and the city council team, we’ve encountered remarkable women who have truly driven our project forward. We firmly believe that the success of our work is deeply rooted in their commitment. They’ve enthusiastically participated in training sessions, engaged in awareness campaigns, applied what they’ve learned in their homes, and ultimately, driven real, positive change.

It’s clear to us that no community project can truly succeed without the essential role of these amazing women. Their dedication and active participation have been the cornerstone of our achievements. So, once again, we applaud each and every one of you. We hope you continue to be the incredible community change drivers you are! Happy Women’s Day, Kulhudhufushi!
