SINGLE-USE-PLASTIC ALTERNATIVE EXPO

Maldives Authentic Crafts Cooperative Society (MACCS) is pleased to participate in the Alternatives to SUP Expo held by SIGS & Soneva Namoona, alongside our partners Kulhudhuffushi CIty Council and Kulhudhuffushi WAMCO. We will be showcasing our work on the PLEASE Project “Improving the Wellbeing of H.Dh. Kulhudhuffushi People and Ocean through Plastic Pollution Prevention”. Visit the MACCS stall to learn about sustainable SUP alternatives and the positive impact of this project on the Kulhudhuffushi community.

All preparations are complete, and the expo has officially begun with the opening ceremony currently underway.

During the opening ceremony, we got the opportunity to meet and engage with other NGOs and institutions working towards the same goal as us.

We had a fantastic first day at the Israafu Madhu Misraab: Alternatives to Single-Use Plastics Expo. We had engaging conversations with many interesting individuals and representatives of organizations, all working towards the shared goal of reducing plastic pollution. We had the opportunity to share information about the various initiatives we’ve undertaken through our Please Project in Kukhudhuffushi. We look forward to a great second day!
